The Prime Minister is linked to Scotland by more than just his personal family history – evident from his name! He has a close interest in energy policy (as Lower Saxony is the site of the grid connection with Germany’s first off-shore wind farm as well as hosting various oil and gas supply chain companies) and also in the role of regional governments in the EU. Further as a deputy to Chancellor Merkel in the CDU he will have fascinating views on the state of play regarding the euro – will it still be a crisis?

The seminar is followed by a wine reception.

Members of the David Hume Institute should register for the event here.

There is a charge of £20.00 for non-members.
