Academy's Director at GovCamp Scotland
Charlie Jeffery contributes to a panel at GovCamp Scotland.
Our Director, Professor Charlie Jeffery, participated in a GovCamp Scotland event on 7 November 2011 in Edinburgh.
GovCamp Scotland is based on an established international model that applies a Government context to evolving Web 2.0 technologies. The purpose is to examine innovative ways to improve service delivery and engagement with citizens. It aims to bring the private, public, and third sectors into alignment behind the shared outcome of creating a Scotland that is well positioned to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the digital age.
Other speakers at the event included Scotland's Cabinet Secretary for Finance, John Swinney MSP; Scotland's Cabinet Secretary for Culture and External Affairs, Fiona Hyslop MSP; Zach Tumin, Professor at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government; and the University of Edinburgh's Principal, Professor Sir Timothy O'Shea.
