Dr Darcy Leigh
Darcy Leigh is a post-doctoral Teaching Fellow in the Academy of Government, where she co-convenes a course on ‘practice-based’ approaches to studying politics, and works with practitioners in the equalities sector (with the Reference Group on In/Equalities) and local government (with the Association for Public Service Excellence). Darcy’s research explores the construction and contestation of political agency in liberal states, particularly its intersection with race, gender, sexuality and ability. Darcy also teaches queer, decolonial and feminist politics, critical theories of liberalism and the state, and qualitative research methods. In the past seven years Darcy has worked as a researcher and/or consultant with Dechinta Centre for Research and Learning, ArcticNet, the Akitsiraq Law School and the Circumpolar Institute at theUniversity of Alberta.
