Programme Overview
Master of Public Policy (MPP) The MPP is a 15 month programme designed for recent graduates who wish to pursue an advanced professional qualification that will provide a launch-pad for a career in the public sector, non-profit sector, or international policy community.
Executive Programme in Public Policy (EPPP) Completed on a modular basis, the Executive Programme is designed for mid-career professionals who are rising and future leaders in the policy community. The programme will train highly capable and accomplished public leaders, researchers, and analysts through a curriculum that explores issues of policy, governance, leadership, communication, and innovation.
Postgraduate Certificate in Practice of Government (PGCert) This 13-week programme is designed for graduates and professionals who wish to develop applied knowledge of the structures of government and policy processes in the UK, with a particular emphasis on Scotland. Combining master-classes on democracy and public policy, independent research, and a study placement in an organisation involved in public policy in Scotland.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) The Academy of Government is home to a vast amount of expertise across a range of policy sectors and we are currently developing a portfolio of CPD programmes for in-career professionals. These programmes will be focused on professional leadership training for the public sector.
