Executive Programme

The Academy's Executive Programme in Public Policy is aimed at mid-career professionals from the public sector, international organisations, business and civil society organisations. It offers rising public leaders the opportunity to broaden their understanding of the political, economic, normative and global aspects of complex policy problems.

The Executive Programme is organised on a flexible, credit-accumulation basis. It offers students several academic qualification options in public policy that can be completed part-time at the Academy over 4-6 years.

The Executive Programme is designed specifically for those who:

  • Are unable to study full-time for 15 consecutive months but who wish to benefit from a full-time learning environment.
  • Wish to study alongside, and learn from, an international, diverse and experienced group of students.
  • Are sponsored to undertake an MPP but cannot be away from the office for more than 3 months at a time.

The Executive Programme consists of three qualifications that can be completed flexibly:

  • Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Public Policy - if you enrol on the PGCert you can use your credits to 'trade-up' to a Diploma within a period of 3 years.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Public Policy - if you enrol on the Diploma you can use your credits to 'trade-up' to an MPP within a period of 3 years.
  • Master of Public Policy (MPP) - you may enrol directly onto the 15-month MPP.

You can also enrol on individual modules.
