Curriculum

The Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree at the University of Edinburgh is a new professional programme offered through the Academy of Government (AoG).

The 15-month MPP is designed for graduates of social science degrees who want an advanced professional qualification that will provide a launch-pad for a career in the public sector, nonprofit sector or international policy community.

The MPP draws on the cutting-edge research and teaching expertise of academic staff across the University on issues of public policy, and the close relations we have to the Scottish Government and Parliament, to establish an environment for study which is genuinely at the interface of policy and practice

Dr Simon Clark

"Adam Smith, the father of Economics, who worked and taught in Edinburgh, would surely have approved of the Academy of Government, with its mission to ensure that where the state does get involved in the lives of its citizens it does so with care, thought, and enlightenment"
