Cert in Practice of Government
The PGCert in Practice of Government at the University of Edinburgh is a new professional programme offered through the Academy of Government (AoG).
The 13-week PGCert is designed for graduates and professionals who want to develop applied knowledge of the structures of government and policy processes in the UK, with a particular emphasis on Scotland. It combines master-classes on democracy and public policy, independent research, and a study placement in an organisation involved in public policy in Scotland.
The PGCert draws on the outstanding research and teaching expertise of academic staff at the University on issues of public policy, and the close relations we have to the Scottish Government and Parliament, to establish an environment for study that sits at the interface of policy and practice.
